2009 GreenLight Grand-Am Program Launched at Rolex 24
INDIANAPOLIS, IN (January 21, 2009) – Amongst the fanfare and excitement at the 2009 Rolex 24 At Daytona (January 22-25 2009), the new 1:64 scale GreenLight Collectibles Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series Daytona Prototype die-cast model cars will be launched into the collector and enthusiast marketplace this weekend!
GreenLight and Grand-Am have teamed up to offer fans a little something extra to commemorate the ’09 Rolex 24 with this year beyond the mainstay t-shirt, hat and program trackside merchandise purchases. The initial release of the die-cast replicas, which measure approximately 3 inches in length, includes the following:

All six cars from the initial release are available now. The 2008 Rolex 24 at Daytona Winner Car comes in a unique window box package design, while the other five cars come in a common Grand-Am themed window box package with individualized inserts. Each item is officially licensed by Grand-Am and features die-cast metal body and chassis, authentic Riley Technologies Daytona Prototype detailing, real rubber tires and sequential numbering on the base. These die-cast cars come with an $8.00-$10.00 MSRP. In addition, Green Machine “chase cars” are available at 2% of the production run and are randomly inserted in master carton.
Grand-Am and GreenLight negotiated this multi-year deal as a part of the Rolex Series’ increased event merchandising for 2009 and beyond. The replicas will be available trackside at the Grand-Am Merchandise Trailer, as well as through various other trackside vendors during the Rolex 24 and other Grand-Am events throughout 2009. Post-Rolex 24, Grand-Am will offer the die-cast model cars online direct through www.grand-am.com.
